A New Gallery Partner: Hoosier Art Salon

A vibrant new partnership between the Hoosier Art Salon and the Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre. Starting in February 2026, the Hoosier Art Salon will begin a residency within the Michael O’Brien Gallery. This collaboration brings together two stalwarts of the Indiana arts scene, merging the Salon’s century-long legacy of championing visual artists with the Phoenix Theatre’s reputation as a cutting-edge hub for contemporary performance and culture. By placing incredible local paintings and sculptures in a space known for transformative storytelling, we are creating a multidisciplinary destination where the visual and performing arts can truly converse.
The Hoosier Art Salon, established in 1925, has spent over 100 years providing a premier platform for Indiana’s most talented established and emerging artists. This partnership is a natural fit; both organizations share a deep-seated commitment to celebrating local voices and enriching the cultural fabric of Indianapolis. The inaugural show is set to open on February 6, 2026. The public is invited to experience the very best of our state’s visual talent in a whole new light.
The inaugural exhibit opening is Fri Feb 6, 2026 from 5 pm - 7 pm and includes a complimentary reception!
